Understanding the Milestones of a Baby’s Development
The first few years of a baby’s life are filled with rapid growth and development. As a parent, it’s important to understand the different milestones that your baby will go through and what to expect during each stage.
From birth to six months, your baby will start to develop their senses, learn to recognize your face and voice, and begin to respond to stimuli. They will also start to develop their motor skills, such as rolling over and grasping objects.
From six to 12 months, your baby will become more mobile and start crawling, standing, and eventually walking. They will also start to understand language and learn to communicate using gestures and simple words.
From 12 to 24 months, your baby will continue to develop their language skills and start to form simple sentences. They will also become more independent and start to assert their own preferences and opinions.
It’s important to note that every baby develops at their own pace and there is a wide range of what is considered “normal” development. If you have concerns about your baby’s development, talk to your pediatrician.
